RJS Racing Equipment, Inc. is a family-owned manufacturer of safety equipment for all types of racing, such as: Stock Car Racing, Indy Racing, Drag Racing, Off-Road, and more. All products are available via our catalog, select distributors, or at our headquarters in Hazel Park, Michigan.

RJS also manufactures safety equipment, restraints and accessories for the stunt industry, movie production studios, law enforcement, emergency responders, the military and aerospace industries. RJS Flame Retardant Driving Suits & Apparel

RJS uses FR cottons and DuPont Nomex materials for our flame retardant apparel. All of our FR suits are SFI approved and tagged. We make our one and two piece suits with high quality Nomex thread, Nomex cuffs, and Nomex zippers for the best possible protection. RJS suits meet and exceed SFI 3.2A/1, 5, 15 and 20 standards and requirements, for all types of auto racing, including JR and QM associations. You can get the standard RJS style or a custom design. Custom size and fitting also available.

Junior Dragsters & Quarter Midgets Suits & Accessories

Racing Gloves

RJS makes SFI 3.3/1 single layer Nomex racing gloves, and SFI 3.3/5 double layer Nomex racing gloves, for most types of racing. Our new Nomex glove is rated SFI 3.3/15 for drag racing.

Racing Shoes

Our new Nomex racing shoe, rated SFI 3.3/5, comes in black, blue, and red. They are constructed with high quality leather and Kevlar blend liners, and come in sizes 1-16.

Go-Karters Nylon Suits & Jackets

RJS Go-Kart suits are made of a Cordura/nylon outer layer and cotton inner liner and padding on elbows and knees to provide abrasion protection.

Accessories

RJS carries a number of additional accessories and apparel for racers and their friends, including bags, hats, t-shirts, and additional safety equipment.

RJS provides replacement hardware for your safety restraint systems that can be purchased separately.

Nomex Underwear, Hoods & Socks

For many years RJS has made natural white Nomex SFI 3.3 underwear and hoods. Recently we have added a new fire retardant BLACK SFI 3.3 line of underwear and hoods.

Restraint Systems

RJS has gone to great extent in providing quality racing equipment, especially in our belts, harnesses and hardware. RJS manufactures our own hardware, which is made of high strength alloy steel. All webbing is applicable to military specifications and certified by testing laboratories. All of our equipment is designed to meet current SFI racing association requirements and specifications.

Racing Harnesses

RJS racing harnesses are available in a multitude of colors and configurations, all of which can be customized to your specifications. We also have a large number of standard combinations. SFI 16.1 and SFI 16.5

Off-Road & Buggy Belts

RJS puts the same quality and craftsmanship into Off-Road and Buggy Belts that we put into our other harnesses, and even though they aren’t to be used for competition, they still must meet our rigorous requirements.

Lap Belts

RJS exclusively designs and manufactures all of our lap belts. Just like our harnesses, we offer our lap belts in a great number of color and configuration combinations.

Accessories

We offer many of our harness components and hardware, along with other harness accessories, to be purchased ala-cart, including floor mounting hardware kits.

Fuel Cells

We manufacture a wide variety of fuel cells and fuel cell accessories. We have many different sizes of economy and drag cells, all of which have options for different caps, sump fittings, and safety foam. Most of our fuel cells also have rollover vents.

Economy Cells

Our economy cells come in a variety of shapes and capacities, all of which have an optional metal can to accompany them. There is also the option of three different caps. Most economy cells include a rollover vent.

Economy Cell w/Cans

All of our economy cells have the option of a can made from 20 gage steel power coated in red. Sizes: 8, 11, 15, 22-long, 22-short & 32 gallon.

Drag Racing Fuel Cells

Our drag racing cells with sumps, come in a variety of shapes and capacities. Our drag cells have sump fittings and safety foam. There is also the option of three different caps. Sizes: 4, 5, 8, 12 & 15 gallons

Jugs and Quickfill

R.J.S. offers a variety of fuel jugs and quickfill cans. Our fuel jugs come in a variety of colors to fit your style or your sanctioning body’s regulations.

Fuel Cell Accessories

We have a variety of fuel cell accessories including; different style caps for all our cells, fast fill valves, rollover vent kits, and recessed fender fills.

Window Nets and Installation Kits

R.J.S. manufactures a great number of window nets in different styles and a whole spectrum of colors. We make mesh nets(non-SFI), string nets(non-SFI), and SFI ribbon nets. Our ribbon nets come in a number of predefined sizes such as; head nets, USAC roll cage nets, SFI drag nets, SFI window nets, and SFI oblong window nets. We can also custom create a ribbon net to your specifications.

Helmet Accessories

We manufacture a number of helmet accessories including; restraints, supports, skirts, and bags; but we also sell a full range of Bell helmet accessories, and if we don’t have it, we’ll order it for you! R.J.S. is an authorized Bell Helmet dealer.
